The Eagles qualified for the Europa Conference League final on Thursday night, which Everton will surely take optimism from.

What changes would you make to our prediction of Moyes’ XI on Sunday? 😬

What Oliver Glasner said about Everton’s visit to Crystal Palace

Everton are pushing for European qualification as they want to be able to compete just as Palace have this season.

Celebrations were in order for the Eagles on Thursday evening and Glasner admitted his players will have Friday off to recover.

“Yes, I’ve just given them [Friday] off tomorrow. One day,” Glasner told TNT Sports after the game.

Let us know your prediction for Sunday’s trip to Crystal Palace… 😬

Everton have not lost to Palace since 2022, but three points are now essential! 💪

“It doesn’t mean that… we said to the players, “We don’t wave the white flag against Everton”. But I think it’s important [to give them a day off].

“[With] all these emotions, they can’t sleep. It’s not possible to sleep after such a night. And so they should enjoy themselves and should sleep and should rest and then on Saturday, we will meet and prepare for Everton. Of course, it’s now getting everything planned in the right way. So, that means we [the management team] don’t have [the day] off. We will plan tomorrow.”

This should be music to the ears of the Everton team as they will be aware of how Palace previously celebrated their Conference League success.

After beating Fiorentina in the quarter-final, Palace players joined their fans in Florence and celebrated into the night.

David Moyes has been frustrated with Everton over recent weeks after seeing them drop points in the race for Europe.

However, a huge opportunity now lies ahead of the Toffees against a Palace side whose minds could be focused elsewhere on Sunday.
