Everton’s Jack Grealish has been the subject of a very bold claim from Nedum Onuoha, which might spark some controversy in the Aston Villa fanbase.

It was an unfortunate draw for the Toffees on Saturday, as Everton deserved a lot more from the 0-0 draw with Villa.

The winger was the centre of attention playing against his former club, as Villa fans were booing Grealish.

But the home support was right behind the 30-year-old as he put in his best efforts, which ultimately weren’t enough in the stalemate.

Although it wasn’t quite the same impact as normal, speaking to the BBC, Onuoha has made a bold claim about Grealish.

Nedum Onuoha thinks Jack Grealish at Everton is the best he’s ever been

Since joining on loan from Man City, the winger has been a phenomenon, and even though he couldn’t make the right impact vs Villa, David Moyes still sang his praises.

Onuoha, who was a pundit for the BBC’s Final Score, seemed to agree with the Toffees boss, as he dropped a bombshell claim during the draw that might not sit well with Villans.

“Everton look really good. They’re really on the front-foot. Jack Grealish looks super confident,” Onuoha said.

“It’s a very small sample size, but it’s as good as we’ve seen him in his entire career because he’s creating so many opportunities from that side. He’s taking players on, taking shots on, and looking for that final ball.

“When he’s on the pitch, you can see so many people have belief in him both in the stands and on the pitch.”

It might be hard to argue that the 30-year-old has been better than his entire Villa tenure after one month, but there is a reason Everton want to sign Grealish permanently already.

There can be a debate if he consistently performs like this, and despite the finishing touch lacking versus Villa, Grealish still showed his quality.

Jack Grealish was once again a bright spark for Everton vs Aston Villa

Moyes was already a fan of the winger’s performance, as the star was making things happen against his former employers.

If Beto had been a bit sharper in front of goal, he might have added to his assist tally, but Grealish could only do so much.

After he won the Premier League player of the month for August, his momentum continued, and it will add to Man City fans’ regret of loaning Grealish.

A big test at Anfield awaits the winger next, as Grealish can really show he’s back to his best in the Merseyside Derby.
