A busy January could be in store for Everton with the winter market opening for business following the club’s recent takeover.
Everton appeared to enjoy a solid summer in the transfer window, but very few of those signings have actually improved the starting XI.
The Friedkin Group are expected to spend in January as they eye improvements on Merseyside following an underwhelming start to the season, on the whole.
It has been a lot more promising in recent weeks for Everton with Sean Dyche’s side having picked up some encouraging results.
However, there remain a lot of uncertainties at the club with numerous players set to see their contracts expire at the end of the campaign.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin eyeing January deal with Fiorentina
Dominic Calvert-Lewin still hasn’t signed a new Everton deal despite the club’s efforts earlier in the season.
According to TeamTalk, there is now the possibility Calvert-Lewin could strike a pre-contract agreement with Fiorentina in January.
From the turn of the New Year, the striker will be free to discuss future arrangements with any foreign club ahead of his contract running out.
Arsenal are also showing interest in Calvert-Lewin with the report also suggesting Newcastle United have him on their radar.
Until a pre-contract is signed, Everton are still able to discuss a new deal with the 27-year-old.
However, Calvert-Lewin has been criticised recently by Jermaine Beckford as the striker struggles to nail down any consistent form in front of goal.

Everton willing to lose Calvert-Lewin for free
The report goes on to say Everton are more-inclined to keep the striker until the end of the campaign and lose him for nothing.
Dyche previously praised Calvert-Lewin to BBC Sport as ‘outstanding’, but the 27-year-old has not shown any signs this season to suggest he is even worth offering a new contract to.
Iliman Ndiaye has massively impressed since joining in the summer and is already outscoring Calvert-Lewin from out wide.
Dyche has now seen Armando Broja return from injury and make a positive impression in his substitute appearances against Arsenal and Manchester City.
Considering Calvert-Lewin’s future remains in the balance, perhaps it is time for the Everton boss to make a change to the starting XI and plan for the future.
