Oliver Glasner’s post-match assessment of Crystal Palace 2-2 Everton is not a good reflection on David Moyes.
The Toffees missed another golden chance to win in the Premier League, wasting several chances down at Selhurst Park.
Which Everton player frustrated you the most against Crystal Palace? 😬
Everton twice took the lead, first through James Tarkowski and then through Beto. But Palace were allowed to come back twice, and the Eagles might well have nicked all three points towards the end as they pushed for a winner.
It is a deeply frustrating result for Everton, with Palace having played on Thursday night in the Conference League.
Them playing three days ago might have seen Everton run rings around Palace.
But actually, towards the end of the game was rather the opposite, which is something Palace boss Oliver Glasner even suggested.
Oliver Glasner says Everton looked like they played three days ago

We’re almost at the end of the season, and fatigue is setting in at a lot of clubs now.
But today, Everton did look quite weary in the final half an hour or so.
And after the game Glasner remarked that it was actually Everton who looked like they’d played three days ago.
He is quoted by Liverpool Echo as saying: I’m more pleased with the performance, especially second half. At the end, maybe the last 30 minutes, it felt like Everton had to play three days ago, because we put so much pressure, we created chances.
“We always knew Everton can be dangerous. At the end it was one mistake we made, but I’m really proud of the team’s effort today of the belief we had and also on the mentality, not to get the draw over the goal line but to play for our win. I think it was a huge performance today.”
The verdict is quite damning, and it doesn’t reflect well on David Moyes, who is coming in for criticism about his management of the game.
The Scot took off Beto for Thierno Barry on 70 minutes, which was an odd change because Beto was being a handful.
But the next two substitutes came late. Tyrique George replaced Merlin Rohl on 80 minutes, and Charly Alcaraz then came on at 94 minutes, replacing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Has that just ended Everton’s hopes of European qualification? 😫
More points dropped by the Blues… 😡
Rohl and Dewsbury-Hall both looked tired, and perhaps should have gone off sooner than they did.
Alcaraz must have been particularly frustrated not to get on sooner, given how poor Dewsbury-Hall was.
Glasner’s comments need to prompt change.
Moyes needs to either rotate, or act much sooner in games when players are clearly jaded.
