Everton drew their latest game with Manchester City 3-3 – and Opta’s final projected table has now suggested where the Toffees will finish.
David Moyes’ side came so close to pulling off a major scalp last night at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton were leading 3-2 until Jeremy Doku scored right at the death – which was the third injury-time goal conceded in as many games by the Toffees.
How do you even begin to explain that? 😫
Everton have conceded late on AGAIN… 😡
The result is decent in isolation. But there’s little doubt it is frustrating given Everton had a two-goal cushion.
The result makes Everton’s task of securing European football very difficult.
Potentially, it might take three wins from the last three games to stand a chance.
And after last night’s result, the latest final projected table from Opta is now available for viewing.
Where Everton are projected to finish after 3-3 draw with Man City

The equaliser by Doku was a real sickener.
Everton had worked so hard to get back into the game, and were in a commanding position in the final knockings.
Unfortunately, some lapse defending led to Erling Haaland immediately cancelling Thierno Barry’s second goal.
| Team and final placement | Projected points |
| 6. Bournemouth | 55.70 |
| 7. Brighton | 55.06 |
| 8.Brentford | 54.38 |
| 9. Fulham | 52.38 |
| 10. Everton | 52.20 |
| 11. Chelsea | 51.98 |
That led to nerves, and Everton didn’t manage the game well.
Although it’s a point, it feels like a defeat. And it could all but end Everton’s European football hopes.
And the latest Opta final table is projecting Everton to finish 10th in the table, which is their current position.
Everton’s final points tally is projected to be 52.20. Chelsea are projected to finish one place below in 11th with 51.98.
If Everton do end up missing out, then that will be disappointing.
Who is to blame for this? 🙄
This is becoming a real issue for Everton and costing them valuable points! 😭

Moyes has had the team in an amazing position, and fans will feel like it was an opportunity missed, dropping points to the likes of Brentford, Liverpool, West Ham and now City in the way that they did.
But it will also be important to have perspective.
Everton are on a journey under The Friedkin Group’s ownership and the progress has been good so far. Undoubtedly, European football for next season would see the club moving quicker than expected.
