Everton fans have been left reeling yet again over another rejected penalty appeal.
Deep into the game against Manchester City, Everton thought they should have had a penalty after Bernardo Silva pulled Merlin Rohl to the ground.
David Moyes‘ side were lining up a corner, with a penalty offering the Toffees an opportunity to take a 4-2 lead.
Another penalty decision not going in Everton’s favour? 🫣
Bernardo Silva wasn't even looking at the ball 🤷♂️
Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg has told Everton News exactly why he thinks Michael Oliver did not award the spot kick.

Moyes could not believe Everton were denied another penalty, with the decisions against his side racking up in this Premier League run-in.
Speaking to Everton News, Clattenburg explained the technicalities behind Oliver and VAR’s decision on Monday evening.
Who was your Man of the Match as Everton settle for a point? 🤝
“A penalty cannot be awarded if the ball is not in play so Bernardo Silva is very fortunate that the corner had not taken place as he was clearly holding Merlin Rohl,” Clattenburg told Everton News.
“Once the ball was in play from the corner, the holding had already taken place so the referee and VAR cannot make any further decision and Bernardo Silva can breathe a sigh of relief.”
Pep Guardiola was impressed with Everton as they put a major spanner in the works for his side’s title charge against Arsenal.
However, the City boss can feel extremely fortunate that his side got away with the penalty decision against Silva.
The Portuguese midfielder has both arms around Rohl and never even makes an attempt to turn his head back around onto the ball.
It is yet another decision that Everton fans will feel typically does not go in their favour despite some of the marginal decisions that have gone against them this season.
Had the penalty been awarded, it could have prevented another late goal costing Everton valuable points.
