Everton are operating on a limited budget this month.

David Moyes admitted the club are still restricted in the transfer market with PSR concerns still looming over Goodison Park.

The Friedkin Group have been trying to secure investment from the United States to boost Moyes’ transfer kitty.

But, at this stage, nothing has been agreed, so Moyes will likely have to settle for just one or two additions at best.

That could change if sales are made and with that said, there is a fresh rumour claiming an overseas club are about to submit an offer for one of Everton’s first-teamers.

Torino ready to submit late bid for Beto

Beto has made it clear he wants to leave Everton this month and even had heated discussions with Moyes.

Torino have made multiple offers to sign Beto but they’ve all been knocked back by the Toffees, who are holding out for £16m.

Now it’s just come to light, that the Serie A outfit are plotting a last-ditch bid to sign the towering centre-forward, according to TuttoSport.

It’s thought they’ve already tabled a £15m bid, though, the payment is split into two instalments, so an improved offer is due imminently.

Everton are still holding out for £16m and they’ll likely want most of that up front so they can make additions themselves this month.

Everton currently blocking Beto exit

The Italian outlet further adds that at this stage, Everton are blocking Beto’s exit.

With Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin set for a spell on the sidelines, that leaves Beto as the only fit and available striker at the club.

So unless a replacement is lined up, Moyes simply can’t afford to lose the former Udinese man, even if he isn’t his biggest fan.

Beto, who joined in 2023, has netted just eight times in 54 outings throughout his career on Merseyside.
