Everton fans can finally relax and take in all the positive things going on around Goodison Park, with the takeover and a new stadium to look forward to.

The Toffees continue to rally on in the Premier League having gone three games unbeaten, and a number of players are on their way back too.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Jesper Lindstrom are set to return to the squad to face Fulham at the weekend, after suffering from an injury and illness respectively.

Armando Broja, Youssef Chermiti and Nathan Patterson are also on the road to recover and will add some extra squad depth upon return.

Everton face Fulham up next in the Premier League in what will be an interesting encounter for Marco Silva against one of his former clubs.

However, it appears as if away from the field the club are more looking at January, as a recent hire has shared what he’s been told to do.

Everton hire has been sent on new transfer project

The Friedkin Group could be officially the new owners of Everton in the next 4-6 weeks according to Alan Myers, which would be a step in the right direction.

But, that’s not all the club are looking at right now as they recently made a part-time appointment ahead of the January transfer window.

Ole Nielsen was recently appointed as an International Scout at the club, focusing on the Scandinavia region, and he’s been speaking about what he’s been tasked with doing.

He spoke to TipsBladet via Sport Witness.

“Since I stopped in 2018, I have kept in touch with Dan Purdy. In the world of football, it’s all about networking.

“We have kept in touch and had good cooperation when I was there the first time. I have helped them occasionally when he has asked about some players quite informally, and then he has helped me with some contacts at other clubs.”

He later mentioned what he’d been tasked with.

“An opportunity arose where they want a little more focus on Scandinavia, and he (Dan Purdy) thought I was the right person for it.”

Jesper Lindstrom’s time at Everton

Jesper Lindstrom was signed by Everton from Napoli on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

He originates from Denmark, which ties into the Scandinavian aspect of Nielsen’s hire, but the winger hasn’t exactly set the world alight since joining.

Michael Ball slammed Lindstrom for standing around and moaning at his teammates against Crystal Palace a couple of weeks back.

He’s been largely ineffective so far this season, which could be down to the adjustment coming from Italy to the Premier League, so Dyche will need to see improvements if he’s to sign permanently,
