Everton are taking on Liverpool on Wednesday in the final Merseyside Derby to be played at Goodison Park.
Everton are looking to continue their fine form in the Premier League and make it four wins on the spin.
But tests do not come much tougher this season than Liverpool, who have surprised everybody under Arne Slot.
Slot was supposed to struggle after taking over from Jurgen Klopp, but the Dutchman has done far better than anyone expected.
Everton are looking to throw a spanner in the works tomorrow night and dent their Premier League title challenge – and Pat Nevin has pointed out a few reasons why Toffees fans can be optimistic.

Pat Nevin outlines why Everton can take points off Liverpool

Liverpool are expected to win tomorrow night.
But Everton are generally improved under Moyes and the winning run in the Premier League will potentially be good momentum heading into the game.
Pat Nevin has been speaking about the Merseyside Derby, and believes the occasion of it being the final one at Goodison Park will inspire the Everton players.
He said on Football Daily: “A draw wouldn’t shock anyone, given what David Moyes has done.
“Liverpool had a little mini-wobble if you look at it through a squint. The draw against Man United, the 1-1 with Nottingham Forest as well. There was also that game with Brentford where it took the two goals right at the end as well.
“To be fair they’ve been a joy to watch, they’ve been brilliant. They are favourites, but there’s just something extra special about this game. The players will 100% be up for it.”
The players will surely be up for it, and that was the suggestion from Abdoulaye Doucoure in his message to Everton fans before Wednesday’s game.

Moyes receives Everton injury boost ahead of Merseyside Derby
It promises to be a cracking game with the added factor of this being the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.
It will take a big effort from Everton to get something from the game, but Moyes has at least received some good news ahead of the clash.
Vitaliy Mykolenko has returned to training for Everton ahead of the game with Liverpool after he missed the Bournemouth defeat on Saturday.
Mykolenko has really improved since Moyes game in, so his availability is a positive for Moyes.
But tests won’t come much harder for Mykolenko, who will be going up against Mo Salah directly.
