Everton were dealt with some seriously disappointing news on Friday over their proposed takeover.
Sean Dyche‘s side were also in action on the night when they faced Irish outfit Sligo Rovers in a pre-season friendly.
The Toffees were able to comeback from behind to secure themselves a 3-3 draw back in Seamus Coleman’s homeland.
However, the biggest news of the day was undoubtedly the disappointment coming out of Goodison Park regarding the takeover collapse.
It has been suggested Everton’s financial position remains solid despite The Friedkin Group’s decision to pull out of the running.
But one club could now be encouraged to up their interest in one of Everton’s players this summer as a result.

Everton could face strong interest in one of their top players
The Toffees have been fairly active in the summer window with two additions arriving whilst a number of players depart.
Dyche’s side were able to avoid any PSR issues last month by selling some of their players.
And the spending is not expected to stop just there with Everton closing in on a deal to sign Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli.
However, they may now see a new offer land for Jarrad Branthwaite following the takeover debacle which continues to rumble on in the background.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United could be encouraged by what unfolded in Everton’s takeover collapse on Friday in their interest of Branthwaite.
The Toffees have already batted away two bids from United with the most recent believed to be worth £50m including add-ons.
It has been suggested the Red Devils could now up their offer by a further £5m but it is not expected they would go any higher than £55m this summer.
Erik ten Hag’s side are said to have no desire to match Everton’s £70m valuation.
Could Everton fold and sell Jarrad Branthwaite?
Branthwaite has shown a lot of potential at Goodison and was labelled as ‘outstanding‘ for his 2023/24 campaign.
Unfortunately for Everton, that can be seen through the interest which is arriving for him this summer.
However, the message has been clear: Everton do not want to sell Branthwaite for less than £70m.
It has been claimed the takeover collapse has made no difference to Everton’s stance on selling Branthwaite.
And as things stand, United do not look willing to get any closer than £15m off what the Blues want for their star centre-back this summer.
