Everton winger Arnaut Danjuma has now said what it’s like to play alongside midfielder Amadou Onana.

Danjuma, who joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Villarreal in the summer, took part in a ‘ask me anything’ game on his Instagram.

Indeed, the Dutchman was asked about £33m midfielder Amadou Onana, with one fan asking: “How’s Onana irl?”

Danjuma posted via his Instagram story his response, stating: “Toooo much quality.”

Onana put in a superb performance at Villa Park last night as Everton beat Aston Villa 2-1 to progress to the next round of the League Cup.

Indeed, the Belgian international provided an assist, playing a smart ball through to the £15m James Garner who fired home with a left-footed rocket.

When the fit-again Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled Everton’s lead early in the second half, the score line began to reflect the Toffees’ dominance, with a late Aston Villa goal doing little more than making it an anxious finale.

Amadou Onana beginning to grow into his role at Everton

Amadou Onana stood out in what was a superb team display, with the £33m man dominating Aston Villa’s midfield, and a second half piledriver of a shot almost capped off a quality performance with a goal.

The 23-year-old is a highly rated prospect at Goodison Park and alongside the Birkenhead-born James Garner, Everton have two exciting midfield talents in their early twenties.

Indeed, Garner’s versatility has seen him play in multiple positions during his time at Everton, including on the right-wing and at right-back.

However, with a goal and an assist in his last two games, the 22-year-old is beginning to show what he can do when played in a central role and could blossom playing alongside Amadou Onana.

With two wins out of the last two games, Everton welcome Luton Town to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon and Sean Dyche suddenly has competition for places in his starting XI.
