Everton fans know a big summer is coming up for the club – and there has been a lot of speculation about a potential return to the club for Richarlison.
The Friedkin Group will oversee their first summer window since the takeover, and have a huge amount to do with so many players currently standing to leave the club.
New forward players will be high on the agenda for Everton, with the likes of Armando Broja, Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom all unlikely to seal permanent moves, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to leave as a free agent.
Richarlison is a player Everton have held an interest in for quite a while.
The Brazilian has maintained a great relationship with the Everton faithful since he’s been at Tottenham Hotspur, and there’s been a feeling that he might return.
But there was a fresh update last night and it seems a move could be unlikely.

Everton ‘reticent’ over possible Richarlison transfer deal

Last night, journalist Ben Jacobs shared what he knows of the Richarlison to Everton move.
And it seems that there is nothing more than an outside chance of it happening at the moment.
He said: “We are hearing a lot of reports and of course Richarlison went on social media and teased his love for Everton.
“There’s no doubt that Richarlison is going to be looking for a new move this summer. Saudi Arabia are interested as well. In the past, Al-Ahli have tried.
“But my understanding is that Everton are reticent on Richarlison. One, because of the injury record, and two because of the price that Tottenham are asking for.
“It’s not going to be as high from Tottenham’s perspective as last summer, when the number was £60 million or no business. But still, Richarlison is valued by Tottenham in the region of £40-45 million, and that’s probably going to be prohibitive as far as Everton are concerned.”
Richarlison injury record isn’t good
Richarlison – who is also wanted by Leeds United – has struggled at Spurs since his £60 million move from Everton in 2022 – and injuries have really not helped his cause.
This season he’s been limited to just 20 appearances having had hamstring and calf issues.
And it’s been a theme of his time in north London, with Richarlison missing a whopping 58 games through injury since his arrival.
Richarlison for Tottenham (2022-present)
Appearances – 86
Games missed through injury – 58
Goals – 20
Assists – 10
There is obviously romance attached to Richarlison returning to Everton.
But the facts of the matter may well override those feelings, with David Moyes and TFG keen to ensure Everton have a squad that’s filled with reliable players.
To pay £40 million plus for someone who may only be fit for up to half a season would be questionable. Now, if that asking price was considerably lower, then perhaps a conversation could be had.
