Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has not been impressed with something Everton boss David Moyes has said.

Everton play their final game of the season in north London on Sunday, with the opportunity to relegate Spurs into the Championship.

For Moyes, this also provides the opportunity to potentially save his former side, West Ham, who go into the weekend sitting in 18th spot.

Roberto De Zerbi issues Everton warning after David Moyes message

Ahead of Sunday’s game, Moyes admitted he wants to help keep West Ham up; the only way of doing that is by beating Spurs on Sunday and the Irons beating Leeds United.

The quotes were later relayed to the Tottenham manager on Friday, with De Zerbi hitting back at the Everton boss.

“I am happy because David Moyes said he wanted to help West Ham. For us, that is a big motivation,” said De Zerbi.

”Premier League is the best league because every game, you have to fight even if you want just one point.”

Spurs have shown some improved form under the Italian, but they still have not won a home game in the Premier League since the turn of the year.

As per Opta’s supercomputer, Everton go into the game against Spurs as underdogs, with Spurs having a 51% probability of winning.

Although Everton’s away form has been impressive this season, they have not taken three points on the road since February against Newcastle United.

Spurs only need a point from the game on Sunday to secure Premier League survival, with the Blues looking to avoid ending the season on a whimper.
