Everton are looking to make some headway with their summer business – and an update involving Roony Bardghji may just put Toffees officials on red alert.
Fans are urging Everton to have a big summer after the club had a terrible finish to the 2025/26 season.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
Everton were firmly in contention to secure European football, but put together a run of seven games without a win to end the campaign.
It was a major missed opportunity, and now Everton need to respond.
And new wingers are on the cards, with Roony Bardghji mentioned as a potential target recently.
And now, the club may have received a boost in their pursuit.
Everton target Roony Bardghji requests loan
It was claimed last week that Everton have been monitoring Bardghji, who struggled for regular starts in 2025/26.
Bardghji only joined the club last summer from FC Midtjylland, but is already being lined up for a swift exit.
Barcelona have been ready to hear permanent offers.

But Bardghji’s preference has been to head out on loan, and according to The Athletic, the Swedish youngster has now requested to leave the club on a temporary basis.
Bardghji is well aware that he is competing for minutes with Lamine Yamal, and that is going to make life difficult.
He recently missed out on selection for Sweden’s final World Cup squad. This is said to have ‘taken its toll on him and has made him even more keen to get more playing time’.
The development may now encourage Everton to come calling.
Even though Barca would prefer to sell as they look to overhaul their squad, there is a reasonable chance Bardghji could get his wish.
Everton have the chance to sign Tyrique George this summer via the option to buy clause.
Everton need a transfer budget of at least _________ this summer
Fill in the blank…
But the club have still not made their decision on that, and other clubs like Newcastle United are now interested in George.
While this is an encouraging development though, there is still the idea that young players may be slightly reluctant to join Everton this summer.
David Moyes regularly overlooked younger players throughout 2025/26, which may be a factor for some this summer as they weigh up their next move.
