Everton are in the market for more wide players after the permanent signing of Tyrique George and a move for Roony Bardghji may well be possible after an interesting new claim.

The Toffees have had a productive couple of weeks in the transfer window, completing three deals.

Hayden Hackney was the first arrival, and then Everton made George and Merlin Rohl’s loan moves permanent.

How excited are you by Everton’s signing of Tyrique George on a permanent deal? Can he really kick on now after his loan?

The deal is now official, with the Toffees paying an initial £18m, with £6m to come in potential add-ons… ✅

The move to sign George permanently has come as a relief to some, who were worried that David Moyes’ reluctance to start him would see him head elsewhere.

After a renegotiation with Chelsea though, he’ll be back at Everton as a permanent player.

But there’s uncertainty over Jack Grealish, Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling, and in recent weeks Everton have been linked with Roony Bardghji – but one claim could be good news.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Barcelona have made a move for Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund.

He wrote on X this morning: “Karim Adeyemi agreed terms with Barcelona and informed BVB he only wants Barca move. Adeyemi, out of contract in June 2027 and not planning to sign new deal.

“Barcelona sent an official bid to BVB to get Adeyemi now, working to get it done.”

It is now just about whether the clubs can agree a deal, and with Adeyemi agreeing terms that could speed up the process.

This is potentially good news for Everton in terms of Bardghji.

Adeyemi primarily plays as a right winger, which is where Bardghji tends to operate.

His bid for regular minutes at Barca is already very difficult due to having Lamine Yamal ahead of him in the pecking order.

But Barca adding Adeyemi into the mix would make life even harder.

But it’s been reported that Barca are keen to overhaul their squad and that they are open to offloading Bardghji, so this move for Adeyemi perhaps comes as no surprise.

It now remains to be seen if Everton will see this as an invitation.

It’s possible that any move for Bardghji will hinge on Tyler Dibling, who is also a young left-footed right winger.

Dibling has been linked with a move to RB Leipzig in recent days, and if that is a possibility, then we might see Everton come calling for Barca’s Swedish starlet.

In the last moments, journalist Florian Plettenburg has actually also reported on this situation – and he specifically mentions how Bardghji is now likely to be affected.

He said on X: “Understand Roony Bardghji is a candidate to leave FC Barcelona this summer. Karim Adeyemi has been identified as his high-profile replacement.

“Hansi Flick has already spoken to Adeyemi by phone and convinced him of the project. Barcelona value Adeyemi’s pace and versatility. The agreement between Barcelona and Adeyemi is 100% done.”

One thing to consider though is that, with Moyes deciding to sanction a permanent move for George, he may now want more experienced wingers from here on in.

It may well be that the manager wants to push for someone like a Jarrod Bowen, who is much more experienced and proven.
