It will be an emotional day for Everton football club today.
After 17 years at Everton, Seamus Coleman has announced he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Coleman’s playing career with the Toffees is set to end, however, there is still a chance he could stay on as a coach.
Let us know your message to Seamus as he calls it a day as an Everton player… 🥲
That’s yet to be decided, though, and it’s understood that he won’t make a decision until after his holiday this summer.
Ahead of his final home game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, former goalkeeper Tim Howard has just shared an emotional message.

Tim Howard issues Seamus Coleman statement
Speaking on Unfiltered Soccer’s YouTube channel, Howard had a message for Coleman as he prepares for his final home game at Everton.
“Seamus Coleman, is it really the end? Tim Howard here, Seamie,” the 47-year-old said.
“I love you. I absolutely love and adore you. I can’t believe all those years ago, you walked through those doors, just a little boy, and you turned into a giant.
What changes would you make from the draw against Crystal Palace? 🤔
Could this be Seamus Coleman's final home game? 😫
“A giant of a man, of a leader, a proper Evertonian who led our football club to some wonderful heights.
“It was a pleasure and an honour to be your team-mate, to share that blue shirt with you. Your family is incredible, you are incredible.
“I cherish those times we had together. Whatever happens next, I wish you all the best and just know that you are forever, forever, forever be a legend at Everton.”
Former Everton number nine Dominic Calvert-Lewin also had a message for the Irishman.
“The biggest cultural architect at Everton is Seamus Coleman,” Calvert-Lewin stated.
“He truly lives and breathes it. You have to stay focused and stay as a unit and Seamus was the main driver of that through sheer passion and love for the club.”
Evidently, Coleman’s presence around Finch Farm was and still is huge, so it’ll be incredibly difficult for Moyes to replace that next season.
The Scotsman will be keen to recruit another experienced leader, which is probably a big reason why John Stones has been heavily linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
