Everton are back in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as they take on Sunderland at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes’ side know they have to win to keep their European hopes alive, as they reside four points adrift from seventh-placed Brighton and Hove Albion.
There is a chance that ninth place could be enough for Conference League qualification, although that depends on Aston Villa winning the Europa League.
Let us know your prediction ahead of Sunday’s game! 🤔
Everton have not won since they beat Chelsea in March… 🫣
Either way, Everton have to get maximum points against a Sunderland side who have gone off the boil in recent weeks.
Regis Le Bris’ side are winless in their last four, and with that said, Chris Sutton has now issued his prediction for the game.

Chris Sutton predicts Everton vs Sunderland
Writing in his BBC Sport Column, Sutton previewed Sunday’s clash on Merseyside.
“These sides are both in mid-table, and they have both gone a few weeks without winning now,” the former Blackburn Rovers striker explained.
“Performance-wise, they have not been terrible, but their results have tailed off a bit.
“Everton have shipped a few goals recently, though and I can see David Moyes wanting them to get back to keeping a clean sheet.”
Sutton predicted: Everton 1-0 Sunderland
What changes would you make from the draw against Crystal Palace? 🤔
Could this be Seamus Coleman's final home game? 😫
Opta’s supercomputer has Everton as the heavy favourites to beat Sunderland, with a home win deemed 52.7% likely.
It will be an emotional afternoon for supporters as Seamus Coleman bids farewell after 17 years at the football club.
There are tributes planned at the final home game of the season, so there may be a few tears in the stands.
Hopefully, Coleman can sign off his Everton career with two victories to end the season.
