Everton put in a truly criminal display yesterday, throwing away what was all set to be their easiest win in recent memory.
However, one journalist is arguing that what Sean Dyche didn’t do yesterday, and hasn’t all season, arguably trumps any decision he failed to make against AFC Bournemouth.
It was clear that the midfield was tiring, and yet he swapped the frontline, leaving Michael Keane and James Tarkowski woefully exposed which resulted in three quick-fire goals.
The players should have had enough to see out the match on their own, but fans are rallying to point the blame on the manager. They are not alone in this pursuit.
Sean Dyche accused of ‘criminal’ Everton behaviour
Speaking exclusively to Everton.News, just after he claimed that Dyche was ‘highly likely’ to lose his Everton job eventually, journalist Graeme Bailey then turned his attention to one particular mistake that the 53-year-old keeps making.
After yesterday, fans can point to countless errors mustered in just one match, but across a short but thoroughly unsuccessful Premier League season, so many have already mounted.

And yet, this reporter suggested that the continued omission of one particular player was worse than any failed transfer, tactical failure or poor substitution.
He claimed: ‘Sean Dyche’s only let-off is the belief that no matter what, internally they believe they are better than the three promoted teams – but there is genuine concern about this squad.
‘Personally, he has now gone three league games without starting Jesper Lindstrom – who I believe is the most dynamic and talented player in this squad, it is criminal that he is sat on the bench at Goodison, he is just too good for that.’
Jesper Lindstrom could revolutionise Everton when fully fit
The only possible explanation for Jesper Lindstrom‘s continued exclusion must be a lack of fitness, given, as Bailey claims, his undeniable talent.
Not only that, but the goal threat he has pretty consistently provided throughout his young career, with his most recent campaign at Napoli excluded.
He did start just two Serie A matches that season.
During his final year at Frankfurt, the Denmark international scored nine and assisted four, building upon his 14 goal contributions across all competitions the term prior, as his side won the Europa League.
He boasts trickery, pace and hard work in abundance, yet Dyche persists with Jack Harrison despite his clear technical shortcomings.

As Bailey reinforced midway through the transfer window, Lindstrom could be one of the signings of the summer.
However, if he never plays, there’s no way of that coming to fruition.
Everton clearly need something to turn things around, and his introduction might just be it.
