Sean Dyche has dropped some hints about Everton’s transfer plans in January and addressed a claim around the 777 takeover.
Everton is believed to be keen on making some moves in January with the knowledge that there isn’t a great deal of budget.
This means the Toffees will likely instead focus on making loans and free deals in the window.
However, there are some instances in which this could change, with player sales likely to help fund more expensive signings – such as with Ben Godfrey to Newcastle and Amadou Onana who has a range of interest.
This is something Alan Myers has hinted at lately, while another factor could be the pending takeover by 777 partners.
Now, Sean Dyche has dropped his own verdict on what can be expected in January.

Sean Dyche drops January transfer claim
Speaking to press before Thursday’s FA Cup battle against Crystal Palace, Dyche was discussing transfer business as relayed by club media.
Dyche began by admitting the importance of improving budget: “To do any deal, there has to be finance,” he explained.
“The club has to be in [a] situation to do the deal. Kev (Kevin Thelwell – Director of Football) had to work very hard to construct deals in the summer.
‘We managed to rebalance the squad the best we could but we had to lose some players as well.
“The situation (now) is similar but different. You never know with the twists and turns of football how deals present themselves but at the moment it’s very likely to be quiet.”
Dyche sounds relatively coy on his hopes of a busy January as he continued to discuss the potential impact a 777 takeover could have.
Dyche on 777 Partners takeover
Dyche continued to touch on the 777 Partners and their takeover at Everton which could allow for some moves in January.
“We’ll see. They’ve been very casual with their information to us because it’s not a done deal yet. They’ve said, ‘Look, we’re not going to get involved because of all the due diligence and checks'”.
“They’ve been very upfront with us and it was a very casual chat about life at Everton, picking our brains and becoming more informed.
“Until it’s a done deal, there’s no point (doing anything else).”
So clearly Everton have options this window and beyond which could see some strong moves made.
