Sean Dyche has just dropped a verdict that Everton fans will absolutely love during his pre-match press conference for tonight’s FA Cup replay.
Everton has had a season from hell this campaign off the field with a 10-point deduction in November now followed up with a devastating second charge by the Premier League.
The club are set to battle both charges, with the second in particular one which some experts are thinking could be overturned with it being suggested that there aren’t grounds for a second breach.
Adding to this, the 777 Partner‘s takeover is seemingly now in jeopardy with several lawsuits and now they are under investigation for their funding.
But amid all this bad news, there is a reason for the Toffees to be positive and it comes from Sean Dyche.

Sean Dyche admits his thoughts on Everton job
Speaking as quoted by club media on Tuesday, Dyche was quizzed on the thoughts about Everton’s current state and whether if he’d known the problems he’d face if he’d have refused the job. To this, Dyche had a pleasing answer: “No, I don’t believe so,” he began to explain.
“I don’t mind getting my teeth into something you know, it’s a great history great club, great old stadium and we know that the new ones needed but it’s a great old stadium, one that I’ve been to many times you know and so, you know these challenges don’t always come along and the perfect time when you’re an out of work manager the perfect job is very rare. You know, you’re probably going to get somewhere with its challenges.”
He then mentioned the fact that he’s had to face more adversity at Goodison Park than he would’ve had to elsewhere, but he enjoys the challenge.
“I would suggest it’s been more here than a lot [of other jobs] that I was I was offered during my nine months or so out of the game, but you know, I’m never going to knock that and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge that’s right in front of us and I think the players are relishing it.”
He wrapped it up by explaining that he thinks there is a real unity behind the club right now and it’s brilliant to see.
“I think the fans are more than playing their part. they travel all over the place to get behind us in good voice. Strangely, there’s been I think there’s been a coming together of the people and the club, and the badge again and I’m very very proud of that.”
Dyche is working wonders for Everton
It says a lot about the manager that he has already had a points deduction and is potentially facing another as well, yet the general consensus is that Everton would still survive.
Without the deduction currently faced, Everton would be on 27 points, lodged firmly between Wolves and Bournemouth.
If he manages to steer Everton through this period unscathed and returns the club to where it belongs, he will undoubtedly become a legend fast.
