Everton’s summer pre-season is now almost complete with just one more friendly to play before their season opener next week.
It has been quite the summer on Merseyside with plenty of ups and downs along the way for Sean Dyche‘s side.
The takeover saga still rumbles on in the background with Kevin Malone now considering whether to make a bid for Everton.
But the takeover debacle has not prevented Everton from making their moves in the transfer window with four new players brought through the doors at Goodison Park.
Although the season may only be a week away, there is still time for the Toffees to make some moves in the market.
And Kevin Thelwell is now eyeing up his next potential addition of the summer as he begins to explore a deal for another midfielder.

Kevin Thelwell keen to land ‘amazing’ player for Everton
Although Everton have already signed four new players, they have also been busy when it comes to offloading players this summer.
Amadou Onana was sold to Aston Villa for a fee of £50m earlier in the window.
Losing a player of this importance is likely going to need Everton to dip their toes back into the market to find a replacement.
Tim Iroegbunam has looked a solid addition so far in pre-season, but whether he is enough to replace the Belgium international is another question altogether.

According to GiveMeSport, Everton are now exploring a potential move for Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips this summer.
The former England international’s future remains up in the air at the Etihad after two seasons where he has barely featured under Pep Guardiola.
A move for Phillips is likely to be on a loan basis given he has played minimal football over the last two years.
It is believed Phillips is now looking to consider any serious option that may present itself over the coming weeks as he looks to revive his career.
Everton could sign a Premier League winner in Kalvin Phillips
There is no getting away from it, Phillips has had a torrid two seasons since making the move to the Etihad.
However, in that time he has been able to get his hands on multiple trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.
Phillips has been hailed as ‘amazing‘ in the past but his recent loan spell at West Ham proved pretty disastrous, too.
Taking Phillips on loan would provide Everton with little risk, however, the midfielder could really have benefitted from a full pre-season with whoever could become his new club.
