Still admitted Dibling has a price-tag, but this number was unexpected.

Whether the Toffees will continue their pursuit of the young winger after this is another question, but what David Ornstein is suggesting means they aren’t giving up.

The well-renowned journalist has stated that after a second bid was rejected, Everton have made a third offer worth £40 million plus add-ons, but Ornstein states that Southampton are expected to reject this once more.

The Saints are certainly playing hardball in this saga, but the Toffees are pushing hard as Dibling could make Everton history if Southampton’s demands are met.

But the youngster possesses a unique talent, as Dibling has been compared to Paul Gascoigne, which gives plenty of reasons why Moyes wants the talented attacker.

Now, after the Saints have labelled their new asking price, Dibling could make history, equalling the Toffees’ all-time transfer record.

To see the 19-year-old top this list, equalling Everton’s record of £45 million, would be a deal that causes plenty of debate.

But there is no denying the Englishman’s talent, and if Moyes chooses that this value is worth Dibling’s services, then Evertonians will just have to trust the Scotsman, who is clearly a big fan.
