Everton could do with a prolific striker at this moment in time, and one of their former players just happens to have scored four goals in a ruthless display.
Sean Dyche is slowly turning things around at Everton with a win against Crystal Palace giving the players something to build on for matchday seven.
A clash at Goodison Park with Newcastle United is what’s up next on the agenda for the Toffees.
The Magpies have a number of dangerous players at their disposal, including former Everton star Anthony Gordon.
Dwight McNeil is Everton’s new star after his performance against Palace last time out, but Dyche can’t be constantly relying on the number 10.
It’s time for the strikers to step up.
Interestingly, a former Everton striker made headlines on Wednesday with four goals in the Championship.

Thomas Cannon scores four as Stoke City beat Portsmouth
Tom Cannon left Everton to join Leicester City in the Championship last season for £7.5 million.
He enjoyed periods of success at the King Power Stadium but couldn’t find a way to keep his place at the club, which has resulted in a loan move to Stoke City for this season.
The striker is certainly starting to make his mark at his new club, scoring his first four goals of the season in one match against Portsmouth on Wednesday night.
Thomas Cannon’s time at Everton
The striker came through the academy setup at Everton.
Cannon enjoyed a loan spell at Preston in 2023 which really opened the eyes of the coaches on Merseyside, as he was soon integrated into the first-team squad.
However, he wasn’t fancied for many appearances as his tally finished at four.
There just wasn’t enough space for him to get regular minutes with Dominic Calvert-Lewin already at the club, despite Cannon being hailed as ‘incredible’.
