Everton won’t have to wait long to learn of their fate as talk of a second FFP sanction begins to accelerate.

Everton‘s financial situation has been a perilous one for a while now, bad decisions all came to a head when the club were hit with a major punishment.

A 10-point deduction was slapped onto Everton at the back end of last year. The deduction at the time left Everton in the relegation zone, as the fanbase protested against the Premier League.

Following the deduction, it was hoped Everton would have done enough to escape further punishment for any subsequent years’ accounts.

Everton internally are believed to be confident of avoiding a second punishment however with the talk around it now heating up, concerns will be frequent.

The Toffees now await their judgement on whether they will face further FFP sanctions, and they won’t have to wait too long with a date now identified.

When will Everton find out their FFP fate for 2024?

Everton are believed to be alongside Nottingham Forest in having concerns over potential sanctions and the date for finding out is now close.

Next Monday (January 16th 2024) is when the clubs will find out if they’re in line to face charges, concerning Profit and Sustainability submissions, according to Liverpool World.

This is a date Everton figures will have in their calendars with keen interest and fingers crossed that the Premier League don’t add to the misery which Sean Dyche has had to endure this season.

Despite all the reports of an impending second punishment, there is believed to be a sense of confidence around Everton. With a few key names backing the Toffees to avoid sanctions.

Everton could avoid sanctions according to key figures

The Esk to start with, has insisted that they’ve looked at the numbers and believes that Everton won’t be hit with a second punishment.

Meanwhile Kieran Maguire has backed this claim up while insisting that the sale of Anthony Gordon could’ve saved the club from sanctions this time round.

So it does seem like Everton are possibly about to avoid a punishment however it’s also clear it is up in the air and Monday will tell all.
