Everton are expected to be active in the transfer window this month.

Everton are evidently in need of reinforcement as they reside dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Sean Dyche’s men are winless in their last five and have scored just one goal in that time – which came during a 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

As such, Dyche’s future has been under assessment with Graham Potter linked with a move to Goodison Park.

Though, it looks as though West Ham United have won the race to appoint Potter after successful contract talks.

So for now, Dyche is expected to remain in post and here are the two positions he’s keen to strengthen this month.

Everton want Wesley Franca as well as Jaden Philogene this month

According to The Athletic, Everton are keen on signing a fast dynamic winger and full-back to bolster their ranks.

Jaden Philogene is in talks to join Everton on a permanent deal, which would address Dyche’s desire for a wide player.

The Toffees are also being linked with a move for Flamengo right-back Wesley Franca, who is valued at around £16m.

Franca is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, too, so it won’t be an easy deal to pull off.

Everton are clearly planning ahead for the future with Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman both out of contract in the summer.

If Everton were to sign Franca this month, he’d be competing with Young for a spot in Dyche’s starting line-up.

Evidently, Franca would be a massive upgrade on Young statistics-wise, as he’s far superior at attacking from deep.

So, if Everton can land his signature ahead of Aston Villa, it’d be a really exciting addition.
