It’s exciting times off the field for Everton fans at the moment, with a new stadium in the works and The Friedkin Group looking to complete a takeover.
Everton fans deserve something to cheer about after a disappointing start to the current campaign. After six games, they have just four points.
Sean Dyche doesn’t often listen to the outside noise so he’ll still be fully focused on the task ahead, which happens to be Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
Of course, Dyche’s future has been a topic of conversation in recent times due to the poor start, and with Dan Friedkin possibly looking to get a more exciting new man in if the takeover goes through.
However, it appears as if Dan is more focused on one particular player already at the club, with a contract situation looking like it’s top priority.
What The Friedkin Group plan to do as soon as the Everton takeover is complete
The Friedkin Group have done Farhad Moshiri a massive favor with the potential purchase of Everton, as he probably thought he’d be at Goodison Park forever after all the John Textor issues.
Interestingly, it looked like a two-horse race between Textor and Dan Friedkin, but a number of issues, including the process of having to sell his shares at Crystal Palace made it difficult for the former.
But, it’s now been revealed that The Friedkin Group are planning something player related.

According to i News, the club’s new owners know all about Calvert-Lewin, who Roma attempted to sign in July last year.
It also stated that those close to the situation anticipate a fresh bid to persuade him to commit as soon as the takeover is signed off.
A first error to be made by The Friedkin Group?
There must be better plans than signing Calvert-Lewin to a new deal, as he’s done very little to suggest he deserves one with his goalscoring efforts this season.
At 27, there’s no doubting his potential and he could easily enjoy another 10 years in the game.
But the money Everton could get for selling him in January could be reinvested into the squad, and Dan Friedkin can then go out and top things up if he completes the takeover.
Dan Friedkin has already reportedly told Maurizio Sarri he wants his first Everton signing to be Zielinski, so it remains to be seen as to what’s actually true.
