There are a number of reasons for Everton fans to hold some optimism for things to come on Merseyside over the coming months.

The Toffees are finally showing form which would suggest they are capable of avoiding relegation after what was a dreadful start to the term.

Sean Dyche found himself under serious pressure at Everton earlier in the season but the Blues have now turned the corner.

Even away from the pitch there is a lot to look forward to with Everton getting set to move into their new stadium next season.

But what perhaps trumps everything is the proposed takeover from The Friedkin Group who look set to take the key for Goodison Park over the coming months.

Why The Friedkin Group want to takeover Everton

With The Friedkin Group looking to secure their takeover on Merseyside, the prospective new owners are said to have some big plans in place.

It is believed The Friedkin Group are already thinking about expanding Everton’s footprint on the docklands site where their new ground is.

TFG are looking to expand the services available for matchgoing fans which will, in turn, boost the club’s matchday revenue.

According to The Athletic‘s report, the reason which The Friedkin Group are so interested in purchasing Everton is the construction of their new stadium.

It is believed if Everton were set to play the coming years at Goodison Park, there would not have been the same interest from TFG.

With the Toffees set to move into the 53,000 seat stadium over the summer, securing Premier League football for next season is of even greater importance.

New Everton stadium will transform their finances

Last season, Everton were handed points deductions for their breaches of the financial regulations set within the Premier League.

And over the summer, the Toffees were left sweating over another potential breach with the PSR deadline at the end of June.

However, the new stadium is going to see a huge increase in revenue for the Toffees which will allow them with greater scope to spend in the transfer windows.

Given their financial struggles over recent year, it is no real surprise that TFG would not have been interested in buying the club without the new stadium.

Bramely-Moore Dock is providing the club with a real glimmer of hope for the future.
