Everton’s decision to change managers in January has proven to be the correct decision.
David Moyes has been able to turn things around on Merseyside with only two defeats to his name in 12 Premier League games.
Even Sean Dyche admitted the Friedkins were right to sack him after seeing what the 61-year-old has been able to do with the Toffees.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 14 | 31 | 11 | 4 | 16 | 58 | 45 | 13 | 37 | |
| 15 | 31 | 7 | 14 | 10 | 33 | 38 | -5 | 35 | |

A big summer awaits Everton, with the new owners expected to hand Moyes their backing in the transfer window.
However, it seems the American billionaire is not exactly receiving the same support from the Roma fans as he is on Merseyside.

The Friedkins want to hire Erik ten Hag for AS Roma
After being sacked by Everton, Dyche admitted he spoke to Moyes about taking on the club from where he left off.
The process was smooth despite the timing of the sacking taking many by surprise.
However, this has not been the case in Rome as Pagine Romaniste share frustration among Roma fans surrounding the suggestion of appointing Erik ten Hag as their next manager.
‘The Americans have made many mistakes, I don’t think they want to take ten Hag: it would be madness,’ said journalist Riccardo Trevisiani.
Ten Hag was spotted in attendance over the weekend as Roma took on Juventus in Rome.
Manchester United sacked Erik ten Hag earlier this season as they then looked at Fulham’s Marco Silva as a potential replacement.
After his time at Old Trafford, it is understandable there would be some concerns over hiring Ten Hag.

Farhad Moshiri wanted to appoint Erik ten Hag at Everton
According to The Athletic, Farhad Moshiri looked at Ten Hag as Carlo Ancelotti’s potential successor back in 2021.
Although the years since have been far from successful, it feels like a real bullet dodged in not appointing the Dutchman.
Sean Dyche backed Ten Hag after his Man United sacking but it is hard to argue that he really struggled at Old Trafford.
Of course, he won two trophies for the Red Devils, but he has left them in a real mess this season, and Everton fans will not look on too optimistically if the hire is made over in Rome.
