The one Farhad Moshiri decision that could tempt Jarrad Branthwaite to stay at Everton

Everton’s future, at last, looks bright, and although Farhad Moshiri failed in delivering his promise of progression, few can argue with the foundation now built.

Admittedly, that newfound solidity and sustainability are more owed to the work of Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell than the Everton owner, but one additional asset of his certainly helps their case.

After all, excitement has been building across the last few seasons, despite constant relegation turmoil, knowing that there has always been a light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, that light has never felt closer before, as their Bramley-Moore Dock stadium is now so nearly complete

They are due to leave Goodison Park and move in for the start of the very next Premier League campaign.

Bramley-Moore Dock excites Everton players

Fans are not the only ones excited about this potential move though, especially after some recent comments emerged.

After all, Dwight McNeil praised the Bramley-Moore Dock, and even argued that the stadium was more exciting than Dan Friedkin‘s Everton takeover.

The former Burnley winger admitted: ‘The takeover talk has been there for a while but the big one for me is the new stadium next season, which is going to be amazing.

‘I know the fans will be sad to leave Goodison because of all of the history it’s got, but it’s a new chapter for the Club and for everyone involved in it. It’s going to be an amazing stadium and hopefully we can write more history and create new amazing memories there.’

Dan Friedkin could use stadium tactic to convince Jarrad Branthwaite to stay

Although Moshiri has rightfully been slated for his horrific tenure on Merseyside, he still deserves all the praise for forcing through this stadium build.

After all, it is something which has been touted for decades now, but never actually materialised.

For all his shortcomings, he put his money where his mouth was, and has brought this dream to life.

Not only will it revolutionise Everton commercially, hopefully turning them into a financial powerhouse to compete with the Premier League’s best, but it could start to tempt star players to join and others like Jarrad Branthwaite to stay on Merseyside.

Who wouldn’t want to be a part of the club’s historic first season with this state-of-the-art arena as their home?

Branthwaite’s Everton future remains cloudy for now, but perhaps Friedkin might consider using the Bramley-Moore Dock and its allure to tempt him to stay for at least another year or two.

After all, the only way is surely up from here, and if he can reveal a long-term strategy alongside this shiny new home, it might be enough to convince their superstar defender to stick around.
