David Moyes has been a revelation since returning to Everton.

Everton were in a relegation dogfight when they sacked Sean Dyche in January 2025, so David Moyes joined with the sole focus of keeping them up.

Moyes guided the Toffees to safety with ease in the end, as they finished a whopping 23 points above 18th-placed Leicester City.

Is Moyes still underappreciated by Everton fans for the job he’s doing? 🤔

Fast forward to now, and Moyes’ side are in a genuine race to qualify for Europe, with just one point separating them from Brentford in seventh.

With that said, we decided to look at what the Premier League table would look like since Moyes was appointed just over a year ago.

It’s pretty remarkable.

Give us your gut feeling… will Everton make it into Europe? 🌍

David Moyes has turned Everton into a top-six side

Moyes has taken charge of 48 Premier League games during his second spell as Everton manager.

And, quite incredibly, the Toffees have won 78 points under his stewardship, which would have them sixth across that period.

PL table since Moyes returned to Everton

The data shows that Moyes has turned Everton into a Europa League-level team, and they’ve actually been even better than Newcastle United, who are in the Champions League this term.

Moyes has had his critics, and some supporters have even called for him to be sacked at different stages.

The 62-year-old’s team selections are often questioned, but surely those doubters will now realise what a superb job he’s doing.

There is even a chance that Everton finish above Liverpool for the first time since 2013 this year.
