Everton remain in the market for reinforcements this transfer window.

The deadline is just eight days away and Everton are yet to make a signing, but they’re in the process of identifying a number of targets.

Sunderland’s Dan Neil is on Everton’s radar, though, he will be hard to get out of Sunderland at this stage of the season unless his £15m valuation is met.

Speaking after the 1-0 win against Brighton yesterday, David Moyes said he wants two seasoned players through the door this month.

Moyes noted that he’s keen to recruit from the Championship but he did also mention that the club already have a shortlist of targets.

That said, there’s now a theory that Everton may have just submitted a bid to sign an overseas midfielder.

Everton may have just submitted bid to sign Angelo Preciado

According to Sporx, Everton are showing an interest in Sparta Prague right-midfielder Angelo Preciado this month.

The Toffees aren’t alone in their interest, however, as Brentford and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are also keeping tabs.

It’s been claimed that Sparta Prague have already received an offer from an unnamed English club, so naturally, there’s a sense it could be Everton.

The Czech outfit have rejected the bid, anyhow, so if it is the Toffees, they will have to return to the table with an improved offer.

Flamengo and Boca Juniors are also circling Preciado.

Preciado is extremely versatile

Everton’s interest in Preciado makes perfect sense.

The Toffees are in the market for a winger and there’s also been rumours that a right-back could be targeted with Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman out of contract in the summer.

Preciado, who is extremely versatile, can operate in both of those roles, so his potential addition would plug two holes in Moyes’ squad.

The 46-cap Ecuador international played a key role in his country’s quarter-finals finish at the Copa America last summer.

Preciado was deployed as a right-back and enjoyed great success in that position.
