A stunning return to Everton for Richarlison has been mooted this summer.

Richarlison departed Merseyside for Tottenham Hotspur three years ago now, and it has certainly been a turbulent spell in his career.

Despite his struggles with injuries and form, Richarlison got his hands on the Europa League back in May with Spurs.

However, Tottenham could be open to selling Richarlison this summer.

Interest has landed from clubs across the world, and Everton have been mooted as a suitor for Richarlison.

With attacking reinforcements on the mind of Angus Kinnear and the Everton recruitment staff, it is an interesting prospect.

As Richarlison continues to be linked with a move away, Tim Vickery has now name-dropped Everton when discussing the player’s future.

Richarlison lined up for Tottenham exit amid Everton interest

The Friedkins feel Richarlison could be their statement signing this summer, ahead of their move into the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Whether that has since changed following the signing of Thierno Barry remains to be seen.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, South American expert Tim Vickery has now shared his thoughts on Richarlison’s future.

“It’s been one injury after another. I think ever since Everton, and this was a sign Everton were letting him go, they let him play in 2021 [Copa America and Olympics]. So, he didn’t have any rest at all,” said Vickery.

“He might be up for it [Palmeiras]. That’s a possibility.”

Palmeiras are interested in signing Richarlison, and it has been suggested a £55m fee could be paid by the Brazilian outfit.

That is not a sum of money Everton would consider paying for Richarlison who they sold for £60m back in 2022.

Everton must steer clear of Richarlison

There have been numerous injury issues at Everton over recent years, which have not helped the Blues move forward.

Adding Richarlison back into the mix could be a step backwards due to his troubles with staying fit.

Richarlison recently admitted he needs to improve his game, and Everton should not feel they need to take the risk and offer the Brazilian a lifeline.

He was certainly a great servant for the club during his time on Merseyside, but a lot of Everton fans do not want Richarlison to return this summer.

The Friedkins’ takeover sparked a fresh dawn at Everton; they need to be looking forward.
