Richarlison wsa a fan favourite during his four-year spell on Merseyside.

The Toffees paid Watford £50m for Richarlison’s signature in 2018 and he went on to make 152 appearances for the club, 53 netting goals.

The Brazilian centre-forward scored a number of crucial goals in his final season, helping Everton survive from relegation.

He then earned a mega-money £60m move to Tottenham Hotspur that summer, but has failed to live up to expectations.

In fact, Tottenham Hotspur fans want to sell Richarlison, as he just hasn’t found his goalscoring touch in the capital.

Everton News exclusively revealed on Tuesday that the Friedkin Group want to bring Richarlison back to Goodison Park and now supporters have been having their say on the possible transfer.

Everton fans don’t want Richarlison back

Richarlison has been teasing Everton fans with his social media activity in recent weeks, liking a number of Toffees-related posts on Instagram.

That’s led many to believe that he wants to return to the club, however, supporters aren’t convinced about bringing him back.

They’ve been replying to the post below, with the majority against the fantasy signing.

“Not for me, we need to move away from this nostalgia. He was our best player at the time but he also went missing in a lot of games. I expect much better from our recruitment team than to return to fan favourites who are average at other clubs,” @Paulrobbo7 said.

“No. Shadow of the player he was for us. We need a better business model when it comes to signings and new contracts,” @gwladys_phil commented.

@evertonchris72 added: “Love him but he’ll cost too much with a transfer fee and wages. We have to think of the other area of need in the team, which are massive. That and Richy is becoming injury prone.”

“No, as great as he was and we should be grateful for the effort and commitment he made for us , I think the injuries have caught up with him,” @dawn17roberts said.

@fosterite posted: “No. We need to move forward and stop being so sentimental. Yeah he is better than what we have got, however that bar is pretty low. I want to see more out of the box thinking from our recruitment team. If they cant do that then we need a new recruitment team.”

“He has a special place in our hearts, but we have to move forward, get younger, and find a true finisher up top,” @IMsully77 added.

Richarlison doesn’t fit the criteria

Everton have the third oldest squad in the Premier League, only behind Fulham and West Ham United, so evidently an overhaul is needed.

The Friedkin Group have changed Everton’s recruitment policy, with the focus this summer on driving down the average age.

And so, with Richarlison turning 28 next week, he no longer fits the club’s criteria of signing. Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap is the priority for Moyes.

The Toffees have also been eyeing Vangelis Pavlidis, who’s enjoynig a prolific campaign in Portugal with Benfica.
