With Everton’s injury issues, David Moyes might have to experiment in Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Bournemouth.

Although it can’t be considered a crisis, Everton have a few players out injured but luckily, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja could return quickly.

Something that would also have to be taken into account is rotation, as there are still busy periods to come for the Toffees.

Moyes will want his squad fit and firing in the Premier League to secure safety, so the Scotsman could lean on the youth of Everton.

Here are three players who could be selected by Moyes ahead of Bournemouth’s visit to Goodison Park.

Roman Dixon is someone who has a high ceiling at Everton.

Along with Harrison Armstrong, Dixon has been labelled an ‘outstanding prospect’ as the right-back is definitely one to watch.

He has already featured for Sean Dyche, as in August, the 20-year-old made his full Premier League debut.

Despite losing 4-0 to Tottenham, it was a proud moment for the full-back who has since featured in the EFL Cup on two occasions and has been included in Premier League squads.

After Jake O’Brien has impressed at right-back, it could be a chance for Dixon to take the stage giving the Irishman rest ahead of Liverpool.

Jack Patterson

Some Everton fans may not have heard of Patterson, but the 19-year-old has emerged as an exciting talent.

The Northern Irishman was signed by the Toffees in 2022 from Northern Ireland outfit Crusaders and has since appeared in Everton’s academy regularly.

Although he’s yet to make any sort of feature for the first-team squad, Moyes has a history with the youngster.

The Toffees boss had a keen eye for the central midfielder in 2021, as Patterson was targeted by Moyes at West Ham, which gives a clear indication that the Everton manager is a fan.

As James Garner is only slowly coming back to full fitness, and Idrissa Gana Gueye could do with a rest, Patterson may feature on Saturday.

Martin Sherif

Martin Sherif is another promising prospect who has emerged on the scene, as the 18-year-old is very likely to make his Everton debut soon.

The Dutchman has featured on the bench three times in Moyes’ opening four fixtures, as Sherif has an advantage over the other candidates on the list.

Being a striker, this could give him a huge opportunity to feature.

As Beto is the only current available option up front, Moyes will have to nurture him, especially after Beto was praised for his performance against Leicester.

Leighton Baines has told Sherif he needs improvement, but Moyes might give him the nod on Saturday.
