Everton tasted another defeat on Saturday against Chelsea in a narrow 1-0 defeat.
David Moyes and his side tasted defeat last time out against Manchester City at Goodison Park, but they were unable to get back to winning ways in London.
It was a far-from-inspiring display from Everton who were just not at it from the start at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Jackson ended his 13-game scoring drought with the only goal of the game inside the first half in west London.
Moyes said Everton shouldn’t celebrate surviving relegation but the showing on Saturday was not exactly of a side who were completely at the races.
The torrid run of April fixtures is now over for Everton and Moyes will be hoping to see his side finish the season on a high.
But there was one player who came under specific criticism following the loss in London.

Tim Sherwood slams Jordan Pickford in Everton’s defeat to Chelsea
Throughout the season, Jordan Pickford has been praised for his performances in an Everton shirt.
The England number one has been fantastic for the Toffees and he has certainly saved them from dropping more points than they have this term.
However, Tim Sherwood slammed the 31-year-old with what can only be described as a bizarre piece of analysis.
“Chalobah steps in. Enzo then pops it as soon as he can so [Everton] can’t get set. The two centre-backs are split but I do think Pickford should be making a better go at that,” he told Premier League Productions.
“You have to play the ball early and that’s what they did there. It’s good from Jackson, unstoppable, but the ‘keeper should save it.”
The criticism is probably something that one Everton legend would agree with after Neville Southall slammed Pickford as ‘average’ just the other week.
But the criticism from Sherwood does feel extremely harsh considering how quickly Jackson got his shot away.
Joe Cole was wowed by Jordan Pickford save
It was odd to hear a pundit speaking so negatively about Pickford who has been so brilliant for Everton this season.
Even England star Declan Rice has sang Pickford’s praise this season following the latest international break.
Although Pickford was slammed by Sherwood, TNT Sports commentator Joe Cole was left so impressed with one save the 31-year-old made in the second half.
“Noni Madueke drives inside, coming in on his weak foot and he tries to feed it into the far corner,” he said.
“What a save it is from Jordan Pickford, strong wrist, and he keeps his side in it.”
Even if there are some fans agreeing with Sherwood, Pickford certainly kept the Toffees in the game later on in the affair at the Bridge.
