Everton ended 2025 with three really impressive points on the road against Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest.

The Toffees have enjoyed coming up against Dyche’s new side this month having now taken six points and scored five goals against them.

Having seen the team news ahead of the game, Everton fans could not have been blamed for wishing to leave the City Ground with a point.

Everton lost Michael Keane and Charly Alcaraz to injury ahead of the game against Forest in another blow to Moyes.

Having not put three points on the board in weeks, Everton have ended the year in style and done so against their former manager.

The travelling Evertonians made sure Dyche heard them as the final minutes of the game ticked by.

Everton fans serenade Sean Dyche in win over Nottingham Forest

Prior to the game against Forest earlier in the month, Dyche wished for a warm reception from Everton fans at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The 54-year-old may have got that on Merseyside, but Everton fans rubbed salt in the wound as they took another three points from their former manager.

According to Sky Sports reporter Anton Touloi, Everton fans were heard singing a song directly to Dyche.

It is all tongue in cheek as Everton fans enjoy yet another three points on the road under Moyes.

Roy Keane thinks Everton have the best away support in the Premier League and they could certainly be heard at the City Ground.

What a way to end what has been a truly incredible 2025 for Everton.

Everton must back David Moyes in January

There have undoubtedly been some questionable results under Moyes, but he has only had one full transfer window to put his stamp on the squad.

Moyes was delighted with Everton’s transfer business over the summer and The Friedkin Group simply must replicate that next month.

Everton’s injury list is growing week on week and the Blues are at their very limit when it comes to squad depth.

Everton News columnist Alan Myers is hoping for Everton to sign three players in January at the very least.

It may be a notoriously difficult window to operate in, but the Friedkins absolutely must put their faith in the 62-year-old Everton boss.
