Jack Grealish has admitted he’s been given the all clear to train fully as Everton continue to monitor a summer deal.

The 30-year-old is set to return to his parent club, Manchester City, at the conclusion of his loan deal with Everton in the coming days.

Grealish has spent the last few months recovering from surgery on his foot issue that curtailed his season back in January.

What should Everton be willing to pay to bring back Grealish over the summer? 💰

It remains to be seen whether the Blues can strike a deal for the Englishman with Man City, but the player is making his return to fitness known as the talks continue.

Grealish claimed his surgeon was pleased with his recovery following the surgery he underwent earlier in the year.

The 30-year-old winger has been seen training alone back at Finch Farm as other players jet off for the World Cup and their respective breaks.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor has shared what Grealish has been telling him in private.

“I’ve spoken to him quite a bit, and he’s back and able to train. Obviously, he’ll be doing his own training before he comes back for pre-season in July. He’s been given the all-clear now to get going,” he said.

“But £50 million for a year left, with the wages that he’ll be on at Manchester City? I don’t see Everton paying that. I think that has to be a real negotiation. It wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t get his move from Man City until after the season starts.”

It is now believed that Man City would be open to loaning Grealish to Everton again for the 2026/27 campaign.

That would be a huge boost for the Blues, who are looking to avoid paying a fee to land Grealish again this summer.

For City, that would save them from paying out Grealish’s significant wages for next season if they do struggle to find a permanent buyer for the winger.

Andy Burnham is keen for Everton to keep Grealish around following a solid first half of the season on Merseyside.

However, the Toffees must be mindful of not paying over the odds on a 30-year-old player coming back from a serious injury.
