David Moyes has silenced a lot of critics since returning to Everton in January.
Many pundits were unsure on Everton’s decision to sack Sean Dyche and there was some doubt over whether David Moyes was the right appointment.
Alan Shearer questioned the Moyes appointment but has recently come out and admitted that he got it totally wrong.
The Scotsman has picked up the fifth most points in the entire Premier League since taking the reigns at Goodison Park.
And, speaking on the Rest Is Football podcast, Micah Richards noted one thing that surprised him about Moyes when they spoke at the Euros last summer.

Micah Richards realised David Moyes is a ‘top manager’ after talking tactics last summer
Ricards revealed that when he spoke to Moyes in Berlin last year, he realised just how tactically astute he is.
“And I think that little bit of a rest helped him as well, because a lot of people was calling David Moyes a dinosaur and the way less West Ham, and he talked about it himself,” Richards explained.
“But just being with him in Berlin and picking his brains on certain things tactically, he is, I mean, he’s a top manager.
“I think the fact that he’s managed to show now that they’re not just defensive, all his teams are going to be organized, even from when he was at Preston with my mate Dixon, he said it was always organized.
“And then Everton, I think now the next step is like he’s been showing, he’s continuously moving them up the pitch and giving them the confidence to do what they need to do, because, okay, they don’t concede that many goals, but they’re scoring way more and creating more chances. And I think that is the key.”
Moyes has been working on attacking patterns in Everton training
Moyes has been able to change Everton’s fortunes by simply taking the shackles off and allowing the players to get forward and express themselves, which Dyche didn’t really give the license to do.
Jordan Pickford revealed last month that the Toffees been working on creating more chances in training.
“We’ve been working hard on how we work the ball and creating chances,” Pickford explained.
“You know what Goodison is like, the fans just want to see opportunities and when you’ve not got the ball, working hard without it and I think we’ve shown that in the last few games.”
With a few more attacking additions in the summer, Moyes’ side will be a real force next season and James Garner is hoping for a top 10 finish.
