Everton ended their summer transfer window in style with two further additions late on deadline day.
Sean Dyche‘s side could not have gotten off to a worse start in their opening two Premier League games with back-to-back hefty defeats.
As they sit rock bottom, Everton were forced to make the most of the late opportunities to present themselves late on in the window.
The Toffees have now seen seven new players arrive through the doors at Goodison Park with the squad being bolstered despite their issues off the pitch.
And there was one deal late on in the window on Merseyside which even surprised Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers.

Alan Myers shocked by late Everton deal on deadline day
Orel Mangala departed Lyon on loan for Everton in the final hours of this summer’s window to bolster Dyche’s midfield options.
It is an interesting deal considering John Textor sent a message following Magala’s announcement at Everton amid his takeover bid.
But there was one deal which went on into the final hours of the window with a deal sheet being lodged.
Everton confirmed the signing of Armando Broja in the early hours of this morning with the striker joining on loan.
Broja’s arrival left Kevin Thelwell absolutely delighted at Everton but there is one issue with thr striker nursing an injury still.
Waking up on Saturday morning, Sky Sports reporter Myers admitted it was even a deal that took him by surprise.
‘Well, wasn’t expecting that one! #Broja,’ he posted on X.
Everton need a big result on Saturday
Spirits should be boosted going into the game on Saturday afternoon against Bournemouth at Goodison.
There is plenty of reason for fans to already be frustrated following the start to the season which the Toffees have made.
However, now it is surely time for Dyche to start introducing more of his summer signings into the starting XI.
The two signings made on Friday will not be available for the game against the Cherries but will provide the fans with a lift for the remainder of the term.
