What Sean Dyche has ‘reminded’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin during private conversation at Everton

Everton are in desperate need of some upturn in form as the Premier League enters its festive schedule.

Games are going to be coming thick and fast for Sean Dyche who has seen his side fail to pick up a win since October.

In fact, Everton went the whole of November without scoring a single goal as the Toffees have experienced major issues upfront.

Striker Beto is receiving interest from Juventus ahead of the January transfer window with change potentially on the way at Goodison.

However, there is one player who has just held a private conversation about his form with the Everton boss.

Sean Dyche holds Dominic Calvert-Lewin chat at Everton

Speaking in his pre-Wolves press conference on Tuesday, Dyche has admitted he has recently held a private conversation with Dominic Calvert-Lewin about his lack of goals.

“I’ve reminded him of the player he can be and the threat he can be,” said Dyche from Finch Farm.

“He showed that at Liverpool last season. He’s not missed much on the training ground this season.

“Finding the consistency in what he is doing is important but he knows that. He says he feels good.”

Everton are looking to keep Calvert-Lewin in January despite interest from Italy amid his ongoing contract saga.

Dyche has already held a private chat with Calvert-Lewin but it does not seem the message got through to the striker.

However, the £25m Calvert-Lewin is going to need to pick up his form if Everton are to pull away from the bottom three.

Everton will have Armando Broja available vs Wolves

Over recent weeks, Armando Broja has returned to Everton training as he looks to make his debut for the Toffees.

It has been a difficult start to life on Merseyside for Broja after arriving over the summer with an injury issue.

Broja played twice for Everton U21s last week as he built up his fitness, but Dyche has admitted he will now be available for the game on Wednesday.

“Broja certaintly to be be in and around it. Chermiti is not ready yet,” Dyche said on Tuesday.

“He is training ever-so hard but he needs an extended games programme due to the nature of his injury. But Broja should be around it.”
