Tyler Dibling has endured a difficult 2025/26 campaign at Everton following his big-money move from Southampton.

David Moyes has made it very clear on where he stands with Dibling, given the 20-year-old has played a mere 350 minutes of Premier League football.

Everton are still confident Dibling can succeed on Merseyside despite his tricky start to life at Finch Farm.

How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷‍♂️

Tyler Dibling struggles make Everton frustrations clear

Moyes has urged Dibling to ‘do better’ in recent weeks, with the winger having not featured in a Premier League game since March.

Journalist Andy Dunn has admitted that what he has heard about the winger has not surprised him, given the lack of football Dibling has played in an Everton shirt.

“Initially, I thought to myself, “He’s [Moyes] not giving Tyler Dibling the opportunities that really a £40 million player should be given,” particularly at a club like Everton,” he said on the Royal Blue podcast.

“If Everton is spending that money, then it’s big, big money. You go to other clubs and maybe £40 million players are routinely on the bench, but not at Everton.

“The more I hear, the more I understand why that hasn’t worked out, why that’s not been the case, and why the player hasn’t settled. If he’s not happy, then he’s not going to play.”

There is now a belief that Dibling is settling into life on Merseyside, with a huge pre-season ahead of him.

It must be remembered that Everton did not sign Dibling until the latter stages of the transfer window, with the 2025/26 campaign already underway.

The youngster, therefore, missed Everton’s summer preparations, but that still does not account for the sheer lack of football played this season.

A decision is going to have to be made by Moyes in the summer, with the Scot needing to be convinced by Dibling during their pre-season efforts.
