David Moyes would love a striker of Moise Kean’s ability at Everton nowadays but his spell at the club just didn’t work out.
It would’ve been a sensational move from Farhad Moshiri had Kean’s £27.5m worked out at Goodison Park.
Of course, it didn’t, as the Italian only scored four goals in 39 games for Everton, but the former Toffees owner was clearly looking in the right area.
Kean now has a £40m price tag after having the season of his life in Serie A with Fiorentina, netting 16 goals in Italy, four times his tally at Everton.
Even though he struggled with the club, Kean doesn’t have one single regret from his Everton tenure.

Why Moise Kean has no regrets from Everton stint
The Italian striker might have timed his move to the Premier League slightly too early, as Kean was just 19 when he made the move to Merseyside.
Marco Silva chose to bring in the talented youngster, as the Portuguese saw something in Kean.
The striker himself has admitted it was the wrong time as Kean has called his Everton career ‘unlucky’.
It seems like he’s relayed these comments in a televised interview with Vivo Azzuro TV (03/04/25), explaining why he didn’t regret the move.
“My adventure in the Premier League with Everton was a great experience, even if in England it didn’t go the way I would have liked,” Kean said
“But you can learn from everything, and you can always get out of difficult moments.”

David Moyes hopes to sign Kean-level players at Everton again
The clear long-term plan is there for David Moyes and Everton. Get Everton back to competing for Europe.
Although Moyes isn’t even happy until Everton are safe, the Scotsman wants to guide Everton as far away as possible from their current Premier League status.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 14 | 30 | 10 | 4 | 16 | 55 | 44 | 11 | 34 | |
| 15 | 30 | 7 | 13 | 10 | 32 | 37 | -5 | 34 | |
| 16 | 30 | 9 | 7 | 14 | 33 | 50 | -17 | 34 |
It seems like that first goal will be achieved this season, but Moyes’ Everton have been backed for Champions League next season.
Stranger things have happened, and if the momentum from this season continues, Everton might be able to start getting involved with Kean-type players once again.
