Everton have been heavily linked with a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison.

It’s understood Everton are interested in signing Richarlison this summer as they look to recruit a number nine.

With Armando Broja back at Chelsea and Dominic Calvert-Lewin expected to leave Finch Farm, there is a pressing need to get another striker through the doors.

And, it’s being reported that Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for Richarlison, who is valued at around £45m.

The former Everton frontman has teased fans on social media about a potential return to Merseyside, so there are legs to this deal.

With that said, here are the pros and cons of a Richarlison transfer.

Winners from Richarlison’s possible transfer to Everton

Iliman Ndiaye

Iliman Ndiaye had a really productive debut season at Everton, netting 11 times across all competitions, but he actually didn’t manage to notch a single assist.

That’s not because of his lack of playmaking, though, as according to FotMob, he laid on three big chances for his teammates, with none converting.

Richarlison’s potential return would surely see his assist numbers go up, with the pair potentially forming a really good relationship.

Martin Sherif

Everton have high hopes for teenage striker Martin Sherif, with coaches telling Moyes he could become a ‘future star’.

The 19-year-old netted nine goals in 16 outings for the reserve team last season and made the first-team bench several times under Moyes.

Martin Sherif could learn a lot from Richarlison, with his movement and finishing ability something to pick up on in any forthcoming training sessions.

Losers from Richarlison’s potential transfer to Everton

Beto

Evidently, if Richarlison does return, he will almost certainly be the main man up front, not just because of his quality but also the financial might it’d take to strike an agreement.

That would see current forward Beto dropped to the bench, which may even open the door for a summer exit.

Leeds United are weighing up a move for Beto, so perhaps that transfer could materialise, with a £21m fee mooted.

Moyes’ transfer budget

Richarlison earns around £175,000-a-week at Spurs, according per Salary Sport, so when you consider that on top of the £45m transfer fee, it’d take a big chunk out of Moyes’ transfer budget.

For that reason, perhaps Everton would be better off going for a cheaper and younger option, with Thierno Barry thought to be on Moyes’ radar.

There have been reports that the Friedkins are ready to activate Barry’s £33m release clause, whilst Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade has also been linked to the Hill Dickinson.
