Everton sealed the signing of Napoli winger Jesper Lindstrom on Friday, Sean Dyche’s third summer addition.

The Danish winger joins Tim Iroegbunam and Illman Ndiaye at Goodison Park. Of course, Jack Harrison has also returned for a second loan spell from Leeds United.

Lindstrom has already expressed his excitement about playing at Goodison Park and has even hinted at experiencing the club’s new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

With the club lacking wingers, the 24-year-old’s arrival was certainly needed as the start of the 2024/25 season approached.

Lindstrom was involved in several Instagram posts on Friday and received a message from Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

Furthermore, one of the Dane’s former teammates, Cyril Ngonge, has also reacted to the move. Ngonge, who was signed in January for £16m, wrote: “Big Player.”

Lindstrom will undoubtedly be expected to deliver, considering the glowing reviews left by former teammates.

Sean Dyche now makes defensive move after Jesper Lindstrom transfer

With Jarrad Branthwaite’s future still uncertain, another defender is now on the agenda for Dyche ahead of the new season, and it appears Everton’s next transfer is close.

According to the Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have now agreed a fee for Lyon centre defender Jake O’Brien.

It’s believed a medical could take place on Sunday, providing personal terms are agreed with the Republic of Ireland international.

Adequate defensive cover behind James Tarkowski and Branthwaite was non-negotiable, and it appears the Toffees are now closing in on their man.
