Everton have announced the signing of Jesper Lindstrom after agreeing a season-long loan with Serie A giants, Napoli.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a £2million loan fee has been agreed upon. Furthermore, the Toffees are believed to have the option to make the move permanent for £19million.
The 24-year-old Dane has already spoken to the media after the deal was confirmed on Friday. Lindstrom, who plays as a winger, will offer much-needed depth, with Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil being the only recognised widemen at Goodison Park.
Everton are believed to be still looking to bring in another winger, and Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto is reportedly a target.
Mads Hermansen sends message to Everton’s Jesper Lindstrom

After Everton announced the Danish winger’s capture, Leicester City’s £6million goalkeeper Mads Hermansen messaged his compatriot on Instagram.
“Tillykke brormand,” he wrote – which translates to ‘congratulations brother’.
Lindstrom also posted an Instagram message to Evertonians: “Hey Toffees. I’m very excited to be here, and I can’t wait to get started. See you at the stadium.”
What Everton fans can expect from Jesper Lindstrom
For someone of such a tender age, Lindstrom has bundles of European pedigree.
The Dane was a crucial part of the Eintracht Frankfurt team that won the Europa League in 2022. Lindstrom also started the dramatic penalty shootout win over Rangers in Seville.
During the 2022/23 season, the winger made 38 appearances for the Bundesliga side and scored nine goals.
However, a switch to Napoli ensued last year.
Despite not setting the world on fire in Naples, all reports suggest the Dane impressed for a Napoli side which drastically underperformed, finishing in tenth place just 12 months after lifting the league title.
This appears to be a good move for all concerned, and Evertonians will be excited to see their new man in action as soon as possible.
