Dear Angus Kinnear and David Moyes, Everton supporters deserve more than what is currently being provided.
Everton’s faint hopes of European qualification took another significant blow on Sunday afternoon against Sunderland.
The word of the season on Merseyside has been ‘stability‘, but the reality is the 2025/26 campaign has offered clubs like Everton with a golden opportunity to qualify for Europe.
Which Everton player should not be started next week against Spurs? 😬
Since the international break, the Toffees have thrown away their hopes of Europe and the supporters largely have Moyes to blame for the massive missed opportunity.

David Moyes needs to change his Everton ways
Despite not winning a game of football since March, Moyes has made minimal changes to his starting XI over recent weeks.
Everton’s defence has conceded two or more goals in each of their last six games, yet the backline has remained the same barring Jarrad Branthwaite’s recent absence.
Even though Michael Keane and James Tarkowski’s partnership has now witnessed 10 goals conceded in four games, they remain Moyes’ first choice.
What would you say to Angus Kinnear after THAT loss to Sunderland? 😤
Something has to change… 😭
A change to Moyes’ ways at the age of 63 feels incredibly unlikely, which highlights the limitations many Evertonians feel their side have under the current manager.
It cannot be denied that Moyes has brought stability back to Merseyside, but that stability has come at the expense of Everton’s ambition.
A reluctance to bring in a player like Nathan Patterson to change the backline, or even Tyrique George to replace the struggling Iliman Ndiaye will ultimately cost Everton the chance of playing in Europe.
Moyes has played the last month so cautiously that the Toffees have slept walked further and further away from the European battle.
Kinnear backed Moyes in his end-of-season statement, but Moyes’ position should not be void of criticism due to Everton comfortably avoiding relegation.
Angus Kinnear should consider Everton managerial change
Everton have shot themselves in the foot over the last month, with some really frustrating results in the Premier League.
The Toffees have had opportunities to kick on in games after taking the lead, but Moyes has set his side out so risk-averse that it has allowed the opposition to pull themselves back into the game.
With Keane and Tarkowski as the centre-back pairing, this is a tactic that has only asked for trouble.
There has been a lot of talk over the last week about Andoni Iraola.
Kinnear is a big fan of Iraola, having previously attempted to hire the Spaniard at Leeds United.
If Iraola is a possibility for Everton this summer, then Kinnear simply has to go all in and attempt to hire the 43-year-old.
Moyes has not utilised his squad well enough this season and it has cost Everton at the business end of the campaign.
Players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye look physically drained following a lack of squad rotation.
Handing Moyes the responsibility of seeing Everton through another summer transfer window is not going to suddenly offer newfound hope in August when the 2026/27 campaign starts.
Everton are no longer the club that was struggling financially and in desperate need of stability. There should be no room in football for sentiment, when an opportunity like Iraola is there to be had.
