Everton’s summer window has certainly been a turbulent one, with more players departing than landing at Finch Farm.
There is still time for Everton to turn things around in the market, but David Moyes will be keen to see new players land in time for the new season.
With the window shutting in early September, Moyes has demanded nine new signings at Everton.
Adding quality is at the front of Everton’s needs this summer, but the Toffees are also required to bolster their depth after so many departures.
Abdoulaye Doucoure departed Everton as a free agent back in June, and he currently remains without a new club.
But that could soon change as the Mali midfielder is in talks to potentially ink a deal with a new club.

Abdoulaye Doucoure in talks to join NEOM SC after Everton exit
Everton did offer Doucoure a new deal to stay, but an agreement could not be struck with the midfielder’s camp.
Since June, Doucoure has now been individually training as he awaits offers from potential suitors.
According to Team Talk, Doucoure is now in talks with the Saudi side NEOM SC.
It is claimed that talks are underway with the Saudi Pro League outfit over a two-and-a-half-year deal to take Doucoure to the Middle East.
The proposed deal would see Doucoure earn a lucrative salary, which may even exceed what he was earning on Merseyside.
Doucoure has received Saudi interest for a number of months now, with talks ongoing even when he was at Everton.
As Doucoure looks set for the Middle East, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still waiting to discover where he could be playing football this season.
Doucoure lands last laugh after salary demand at Everton
Speaking on a podcast, Doucoure was shocked Everton wanted him to reduce his wages.
“I see Everton fans saying to lower my wages. I’m amazed, I deserve to have my salary right now,” Doucoure said.
It was suggested the midfielder was earning in the region of £130k-per-week on Merseyside, which is huge money.
However, landing a job in Saudi will almost guarantee Doucoure earns a significant weekly pay cheque.
Doucoure did claim he wanted to remain at Everton, but seeing as though he didn’t get his wish, he has certainly made a smart financial decision to earn an incredible sum of money.
The level of football may not be as high, but the midfielder will certainly enjoy a comfortable lifestyle.
