Everton are making advances in the summer transfer market.

Thierno Barry is about to become Everton’s second signing of the window, having already completed the permanent transfer of Carlos Alcaraz.

Barry joins after a prolific season with Villarreal and Basel, netting 19 goals in 41 outings across all competitions.

David Moyes still wants to add to his forward ranks, with Manchester City’s Jack Grealish continuing to be linked to Everton.

Now, there is a fresh development on another reported Everton attacking target.

Everton target Brian Brobbey changes agents

Everton were actually showing an interest in Brian Brobbey back in January, with the Ajax forward looking likely to leave.

Ultimately, the Toffees decided to keep their powder dry for a big spend this summer and it was reported in mid-May that Moyes was lining up a £34m bid for Brobbey.

Those rumours have since gone quiet, however, the Scotsman is still looking to bolster his forward line following the departures of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja.

So, perhaps they could go back in for the Ajax frontman, who has just changed agents, which is usually a telling sign that they’re keen to secure a transfer.

Brobbey stats 2024/25

Brobbey, who has been capped eight times by the Netherlands, was actually a little off the pace last season, certainly compared to the 2023/24 campaign.

The 23-year-old registered 13 goal contributions across all competitions.

The year before, Brobbey netted an impressive 22 goals whilst laying on 11 assists, so perhaps he lost a bit of focus amid all of the transfer rumours.

Despite a somewhat underwhelming year, the youngster has still scored a whopping 141 goals across his career, which is remarkable given his age.

So, if Everton do land his signature, it’d certainly be an exciting addition.
