The 2024/25 campaign may only be seven games deep in the Premier League but there may already be an eye at Everton on the January window.

Sean Dyche‘s side were proactive in the summer market with a number of new faces landing at Goodison Park.

One player who has impressed the Everton fans is Iliman Ndiaye who landed from Marseille over the summer.

However, there is still a lot to be decided when it comes to some of the existing forwards at Everton with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract coming to an end.

But there is another striker on Merseyside whose future remains in doubt ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

Agent says Everton striker could leave in January

One player whose future was questioned over the summer was Beto with the striker receiving interest from Atalanta.

The striker has now received interest from another Italian club ahead of January with AS Roma showing their admiration for Beto.

Speaking to Ok Calcio Mercato, the agent who sanctioned Beto’s move to Udinese, Gabriele La Manna, admitted a move in January for the striker could be on the cards.

“Yes, he could return to Italy. Beto is currently out of Everton’s main rotations, but the biggest problem is linked to the cost of his price tag,” he said.

“The Toffees paid a significant amount for him and the player’s salary is around €3 million.”

Beto has been a big disappointment at Everton

Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers claimed Beto has been a huge disappointment at Everton but suggested he could come alive this season.

That has not been the case with the striker struggling to even earn himself any minutes on the pitch having played just 43 minutes in the league.

The Guinea-Bissau striker has only been able to return a total of six goals and two assists across his 43 appearances for the club.

As The Friedkin Group close in on taking over at Everton, perhaps their relationship with Roma could be used to secure Beto a move back to Serie A.
