Everton still have a number of players at the club who could depart before the deadline at the end of the month.
Kevin Thelwell has made some positive moves of the window with four new faces having come through the doors at Goodison Park.
Sean Dyche will be delighted with the business done at Everton so far with the results already on display after the strong starts by Jake O’Brien and Jesper Lindstrom.
But those signings have not come without the Toffees needing to offload some players, too.
Ben Godfrey was one of the players to depart in June as Thelwell found himself battling against the PSR deadline.
And, of course, Amadou Onana has now been sold to Aston Villa for £50m but there remains speculation about further exits.
However, Alan Myers has suggested there could be one player – linked with an exit – who could come alive this season on Merseyside.

Alan Myers thinks £26m Everton player could excel this season
Last season was one to forget for Everton, on the whole, with their points deductions seeing them drop around the relegation zone.
A strong end to the campaign will have provided the fans with some optimism for things to come this time around.
There were still some underwhelming performances from certain players which may have led to speculation surrounding their futures.
But the Blues have been reminded by Myers to give some of the arrivals from last season some time to settle to their new life on Merseyside.

Speaking on the View From The Bullens podcast, Myers has suggested Beto could find his feet this season at Goodison.
“Well, I think it’s an interesting one this, because everything I’ve seen from the lad I’ve liked, you know, apart from the fact that he hasn’t scored many goals, and, you know, you could laugh and say, well, he’s a striker,” said Myers.
“But what, what my time in football has taught me is that when people come to a club, it’s very difficult, you know, to settle in.
“I’ve seen many players you thought, ‘oh, no, this is not for us’. The next season, they come alive, you know. And they get into it, they settle, their families settle.”
Beto linked with potential Everton sale this summer
A lot of speculation still lingers around the Toffees’ options up front this summer with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future still uncertain.
And then there is Beto who did endure his struggles last season having only found the net five times in an Everton shirt as he was labelled to be ‘underperforming‘.
The £26m Beto has been linked with a move away from Everton this summer with Atalanta having shown an interest already.
However, Dyche has decided to keep Beto at Everton in the hope that having had a year to settle into life in a new country will have benefited him.
The Portuguese striker recently scored twice in a behind closed doors friendly against Motherwell and the vote of trust from Dyche must have done him the world of good.
